The Kelchsau valley doesn't attract the crowds that descend on Hopfgarten, Westendorf and Kitzbuhel during the winter season, but that doesn't mean the terrain on offer doesn't ace its neighbours. In fact the only reason that Kelchsau is off the radar of most holiday makers is because to access the good stuff you need to travel under your own steam. Last weekend Ambush team rider Alex Proyer and one of his buddies used their Amplid Milligrams to hike to the peak of Schneegrubenspitze, a 1200m+ hike to the top of a 2237m summit. Like every great tour, perfect snow and stunning views were plentiful.
