Every May the UK snowboard scene descends on Kaunertal Glacier in Austria's Tirol to test a stack of next years boards and to have a good time. While most people are there for a good time and some free waffles at the Vans stand, the crew from Whitelines Magazine are busy reviewing next winter's boards to give their readership the best possible chance of selecting the right board for the season ahead. One of the boards they got to test was the Pillow Talk, Amplid's new true-twin powder board. Here's what tester Adam Hoskins from Bliss Snowboard Store had to say about the board:
“The playfulness of the Amplid Pillow Talk is instantly apparent; it couldn’t be easier to press, and it floats effortlessly in the soft stuff thanks to the profile and wide waist. That 26.7cm width was great for the powder but with my UK 6.5 feet I found it made the board less stable on the groomers. However, this wasn’t an issue for riders with size UK 9 and above, and piste isn’t what this board is about anyway; like you, it wants to be in the powder whenever possible.”
