The first week of May is untouchable in the freeski events calendar. Now in its eighth year the West Coast Session has become THE event to end the winter season on. Luka, Noah and McRae joined the pilgrimage this year and ended-up bagging a handful of awards between them.
As far as spring shred missions go, AK has to be the ultimate. Amplid friend Oli Holzmann did exactly that with a group of friends and legendary mountain guide Clark Fyans. Here are some shots of Oli shredding AK on his Amplid Morning Glory 163 and Creamer 166.
The Superunknown finals are scheduled for this week in Summit resort, Snoqualmie, Washington State. Cartel Nationals rider Kevin Salonius is currently mid-flight on his way to compete for the title of Superunknown champion 2014.

Life can be a bitch sometimes. At one point everything is going your way, your skiing level is going through the roof, you're getting noticed, you sign to a new ski sponsor, life is good. Then one slip-up on a rail and you're laid up for three months after ACL surgery. This was Tanner's season.
Last weekend the Amplid Demo Tour hit Stuben for one of its last outings of the season. The weather forecast for the weekend at St Anton's little neighbour wasn't looking good, but the Longboard Classic was in town so we knew the turn-out would be good.
Yesterday McRae Williams added another podium to his winter's tally by winning the Total Fight slopestyle contest in Grandvalira, Andorra. This year more North Americans had made the trip to the Pyrenees for Total Fight but that wasn't going to stop McRae from claiming the top spot for a second year in a row.
Last week French Ambush team rider Julien Vilmin made the journey from his home in the Pyrenees to the Spanish city of Madrid for the Spanish leg of Volcom's Peanut Butter Rail Jam. 3rd place and 150 Euros probably made the trip worthwhile!
Every year the Rideaholikz park crew in Davos run a small contest. Riders from around the Swiss resort show-up to compete for the hoard of goodies awarded to the winner. Ambush rider Aaron Berger stormed the contest with all manner of inverts and hand plants.
Cartel Nationals rider Alex Neurohr was hanging-out with a handful of international pros in La Plagne, France last week for the Shred It Kevin Rolland Invitational. Kevin and his crew built an enormous step-up jump in the La Plagne backcountry and Alex was one of the riders invited to session it.
This week, with fresh snowfalls and sunny weather, French Ambush riders Nico Antony and Morgan Sauerwald ventured deep into the backcountry to a secret spot called "La Sambuy". They were greeted with perfect conditions and incredible terrain.

Yep the B&E Invitation is without doubt the hottest ticket in freeskiing this year. Forget the Olympics, the B&E Invitational in Les Arcs, France will see some of the most creative riding ever seen... oh and team rider Pako Benguerel got a ticket!
Congratulations to team rider McRae Williams who finished off his brief French vacation with a 3rd place finish in La Clusaz at the SFR Tour Finals. With only 1 point between third and first place, the contest was a nail biter until the end.
Business in Spain definitely has a charm about it. Amplid's Spanish and Andorran distributors Fernando and Javi invited a handful of key retailers to Freeski and Snowboard store Cota at the base of Baqueira-Beret to show them the new line and enjoy some Cava & Oysters. Class!
Today one legend met another legend. Amplid's head honcho Peter Bauer is in Spain to judge the Val D'Aran Freeride contest. The day before the contest Peter met with Spanish legend Mombi to shred some laps and, by the looks of it, drink some Vino Tinto.
Cartel skier McRae Williams is on fire this season. Over the last few months McRae has developed his slopestyle runs, taking him from finals contender to podium regular. McRae just added a 1st place in VARS to his 2nd place at the X Games.
