McRae Scores 4th Spot at Copper Mountain

With only two more US Team qualifying events to go, McRae’s 9^th place finish at the Breckenridge Dew Tour and 4^th place at yesterday’s Copper Mountain Grand Prix are putting him in good stead to qualify for a place at the Sochi Olympics. Now that Nick Goepper’s place on the team has been confirmed it’s up to McRae to battle-on for one of the three remaining spots. With a cat’s whisker separating McRae from fellow US slopestyle skiers Gus Kenworthy, Tom Wallisch, Alex Schlopy, Bobby Brown and Joss Christensen, who takes the remaining three spots is anybody’s guess. It’ll take some incredible skiing and a great deal of luck, but we know McRae’s got the skills and mind-set to earn one of the remaining three tickets to Sochi.
