McRae might not have been seleceted for the US team but on Sunday he showed everybody that despite the heartache he's a world class competitor. From his first run, McRae was firing on all cylinders, but it was his second run with it's perfect kicker line, including a switch double cork 1440 on the showtime booter, that brought McRae's run right up to a 92.66. From that run, McRae was in the lead until the very last run of the day which fell to the almost unbeatable Nick Goepper. Nick put down an incredible 95 point run which knocked McRae into silver medal position. McRae is in the form of his life right now and skiing incredibly consistantly, so it's a shame we won't see him in Sochi. However, with a big video project on the cards it's likely you'll see a lot more opf McRae this winter. Watch McRae's three final runs here:
