"After an awesome Carpathian experience last year, I was really looking forward to returning to Transilvania for touring.
This time we scheduled the trip a little bit later in the hope to have a bigger snow layer and the possibility to ride terrain that wasn’t ridable last year.
And it worked out! After a couple of days with ok to good snow, some dense fog and a massive dump we scored one perfect day with an entire mountain range with 40cm of fresh, untracked snow and bluebird weather.
Our Guide split the one week trip in two parts, to start with we were touring in the Făgăraș Mountains, in the hope of riding some steeper stuff, but unfortunately the fog forced us to take it easy.
After three days around the Barcaciu Hutt, we went to the Bucegi Mountain range, the same location as last year. There it is more mellow, but really beautiful. You can find some fun riding options.
Again, it was an amazing time, with great people, unbelievable fresh and tasty food and some great tours.
We'll definitely be back, there's still so much to discover.
Thanks Iulian Cozma from www.mountainguide.ro for guiding us, and taking great pictures!"
