“Welcome to the 2nd edition of The Summer Rail Challenge by me, Kevin Salonius. Last year I ran this contest and the response from the participants was so rad that I've decided to run it again. I’ve roped-in tons of prizes from my sponsors: Saga Outerwear, Amplid::: Next Level Riding, Tall-T-Productions, Spy Optics and MSnow, which I’m going to award to the three skiers submitting the best artificial ski edits of the summer.
For those skiers that can’t get to the Southern Hemisphere, Europe’s glaciers or Mt Hood for the summer skiing, artificial is the only way to satisfy a skiing addiction. I can’t remember how many summers I’ve spent constructing and shredding rail set-ups in my backyard, but I’ve loved every second of it. I’m lucky to have the support of awesome sponsors that also love backyard skiing too. I'm running this video edit contest to motivate skiers through the summer and to give back to the ski community which I love being a part of.
Join the contest by submitting a 60 to 120 second video of you skiing your backyard set-up. My friends and I, aka the judges, are looking for technical tricks and new trick variations, great style and super creative backyard set-ups.
Between now and the final submission date there's almost three months of filming time... I hope you’re stoked to take part!” - Kevin
