Team rider Andy Nitsche emailed this photo, taken by photographer Severin Wegener, to HQ to gloat about the powder he's been skiing. Since we don't take kindly to powder gloating, unless it's us doing it, we thought we'd reveal his secret spot.
A short drive along the Brenner Pass from Austria's Tirol will bring you to Italy's Sud Tirol, an area which has been enjoying snowfall upon snowfall for the majority of the winter. For those with a Tirol Snow Card the South Tirol isn't much use, since the resorts aren't part of the program. However, if you head east, past Bruneck towards Lienz, or alternatively cut down from Mittersil through the Felbertauern Pass towards Matrei, you'll find yourself in Ost Tirol. Ost Tirol is a piece of the greater Tirol "bundersland" separated by Salzburgerland and Italy. There your Tirol Snow Card will be valid for as many powder loaded runs as your legs will carry you. Enjoy!
