For aggressive and dynamic femal snowboards the LoveLife has always been a fantastic choice, its Paradigma inspired dimensions and Hybrid-V camber create a responsive and lively board to ride. Now with the addition of Basalt Suspension Strips the board is even better equiped to crush the backcountry. Outside Magazine really liked the new board and featured it in its gear guide as a favourite!
After almost three months of filming since the challenge was set and a whole week of watching and re-watching the various video submissions, Kevin Salonius is ready to reveal the winners of the Summer Rail Challenge 2015. Click through to see the results.
Julien Lange and his film crew Gpsy Feelin have just released the trailer for their 2015 movie release and it looks epic! Their last movie, Hoodoo, was outstanding and it will be a tough job to beat, but the way this trailer is looking we think it's going to happen.
Renowned for telling it how he sees it, the Angry Snowboarder hasn't made a name for himself and his board reviews by making friends in the industry. Nope Angry will call a spade a spade and to hell with the consequences. It's one of the reasons we like to send him boards, for honest, opinionated, feedback.
News in from Cartel rider Kevin Salonius who has been busy gathering more goodies for the winners of his contest, the Summer Rail Challenge. The latest brand to join the party is mSnow, manufacturer of artificial snow matting for backyard set-ups. They've been very generous with their contribution!
Amplid's Noah Albaladejo and Magnus Graner from Swedish crew the Bunch, met up this summer in Les Deux Alpes. Their mission was simple, film an edit so unique and ahead of its time that it progresses freeskiing. They roped-in Amplid homie Borja Azurmendi to help.
Summer sucks. Sure you get long holidays, but what's the point of that if there's no snow to shred. In an effort to make summer more bearable, Amplid Cartel rider Kevin Salonius is launching a summer rail contest that anybody can get involved with. Oh and he's pulled together a whole lot of swag from his sponsors to award to the winners.
Freeskier Mats Bjorndal is an Amplid sponsored rider from Norway. Like every shred-crazy Norwegian, summer wouldn't be complete without a trip to the Folgefonna glacier, where 24 hour light allows for some great park sessions. Mats put together this quality edit from footage shot during his visit.

Decay Teaser

Last season Amplid Cartel team rider Kevin Salonius was a busy guy. Despite a diary packed with filming commitments, Kevin still managed to travel to Norway and film with his friends at Wordup Projects for their latest movie, Decay.
Alex Neurohr is the master of capturing his mid-flight antics on his trusty GoPro. Watch this edit and see what it's like to ride shotgun with him in the powder and off the big booters.
Blister Gear Review, a US based website putting skis and snowboards through their paces for the benefit of the general public, doesn't pull any punches when it gets to putting opinions to paper. We were more than stoked when we read the review of Amplid's flagship snowboard the UNW8.
Christian Stromberg has been representing Amplid since May. His first order of business with his new Syntax skis was to hit Hintertux Glacier for some summer shredding. He put together this chill edit to the sounds of Joey Bada$$.
There's nothing that Ambush rider Tanner Boudreau would rather do than don his tracksuit and launch himself off Park City's booters. Once again Tanner proves that skiing at an incredible level and taking yourself too seriously don't necessarily to go hand-in-hand.
From the 12th of June until the 31st August the Bispingen Snow Dome, located between Hanover and Hamburg, is hosting a summer long park session. Pleasure Mag caught-up with Amplid Ambush rider Jonel Fricke to learn more about the session and about how Jonel cut his teeth riding indoor snow.

You Go(Go) Girl!

Stupid titles aside, Amplid would like to congratulate Amber Cordingly for taking the top spot in the U18 category of the English Slopestyle Championships held at the Chill Factore indoor slope in Manchester, last weekend.
It may not be the gnarliest line of the year, but Philip's submission for GoPro's "Line of the Year" contest should get a prize for the best face shots of the year. Perfect Pillow Talk conditions!
Amplid::: Next Level Riding is very pleased to announce that it is collaborating with the Movember Foundation, the non-profit organisation bringing awareness to men's health, on a limited edition ski and snowboard. We need your help choosing a graphic!
Last month a hand-picked crew of skiers from the French and Swiss Alps assembled in Avoriaz to build and session a skateboard inspired pipe-bowl combo. Amplid's Julien Lange turned-up to carves some turns and launch some airs.
Jukka Tyni is one to watch. Combining a fearless approach to freestyle riding in the park and the streets with a faultless style is what Jukka does best. We're confident that it won't be long before you start seeing a lot more of this rising-star from Finland.
By the time the hectic winter season has ended and there's more time to invest into important R&D projects it's usually May. This year May in the northern Alps has been cold and wet which means conditions on Austria's Glaciers have been all-time!
By the middle of May it's likely that the Alps have experienced more than a few downpours of rain and summer-like days with temperatures in the mid 20s. So it's rare that you can find a snowpatch big enough to ride within walking distance of a main road. But then again, when you know your local mountains like Philip Toplitsch there are hundreds of possibilities.
Last weekend Splitboarding.eu hosted its Spring gathering at the Amberger Huette in Stubaital. Late season snowfalls had provided enough snow for easy access to the surrounding peaks from their base. Amplid's Alex Proyer joined the party.

Spring Touring

For most the ski season ends when the last lifts wind down for the season, but for ski tourers the fair weather and low avalanche risk make May a prime month for ski touring. Last weekend Ambush rider Morgan Sauerwald took his new Ego Trip Evolutions for a test run in the Mont Blanc Massif.
The last day of the ski season at Park City is usually a pretty wild time. Add the infamous Hood Crew into the mix and you can be sure it will be explosive . Amplid Ambush riders Tanner Boudreau and Jonnie Merrill donned their Hawiian shirts, sank some tins and got involved with Gaper Day.
