In Action - it's as selfexplanatory as it sounds: In these miniseries you get to see our latest products in action, in its original habitat: Following the intrinsic search for the „perfect daily driver“, we feel it was our obligation to create the top notch swiss army knife for the true all-mountain performance, with the smallest compromise restrictions (a.k.a. “close to none”). Carving early morning groomers at mach 5, attaining freestyle cred in the park or plowing effortless through waist-deep powder...
Why We Chose The Amplid Singular: When a company like Amplid says it’s cracked the true all-purpose Swiss Army Knife, it’s time to sit up and pay attention. The name says it all: the Amplid Singular aims to go full Marie Kondo on your board bag. Never mind the quiver approach; just get one of these all-terrain vehicles in there, and prepare to spark a whole load of joy. This message is only slightly undermined by the fact that there are actually *two* Singulars – this one, and a true twin version.
The Amplid Milligram needs no introduction at this stage of the game. This is -hands down- one of the best all-mountain splitboards in the market. A top-notch splitboard that Amplid keeps upgrading year after year, a board that a big part of the global splitboard community would love to add to their quiver. A light, reactive and solid splitboard to take your riding to the next level. The early-rise rocker keeps you afloat on powder days and the generous traditional camber caters for everything you need when the snow conditions and the terrain are demanding...
Amplid is one of the leader brands when it comes to innovation in splitboarding. Unarguably, their products reflect the work they have accomplished over the past years. One of the greatest challenges in splitboarding lies in reducing the weight of the boards without compromising their performance and durability, and the Millisurf is a clear example of this.
This deck is super fun and well balanced. It cuts through fresh snow with ease, gets on top of wide open pow, but still retains enough torsional flex to be good in tight trees. The stability of this board is amazing as well which allows you to charge into uneven terrain faster and works with the torsional flex to let you drive it how you want. Overall this is a well balanced freeride board that isn’t super demanding but does have a great reactive lively feel to it.
In Action - it's as selfexplanatory as it sounds: In these miniseries you get to see our latest products in action, in its original habitat: State-of-the-art construction techniques and materials, pioneered by the original Milligram, bring this champion powder split in at a weight class all on its own. Wickedly responsive and effortless in deep snow, the Millisurf delivers knock-out performance every time you strap in...
Amplid have carved out a stellar reputation for their fleet of snowboards dedicated to perfecting the art of the turn. Their Centrifugal Collection showcases some of the most performance-driven, technologically advanced boards that induce a near God-like feeling of power and control on the edge. Winter 21/22 sees a new model added to the lineup: the Souly Grail.
Based on the awarded Milligram’s shape, the Freequencer is our BEST ALL MOUNTAIN 2023 splitboard. Quite frankly, it is one of the boards we were most looking forward to riding in this year’s test, and as you will see for yourself, we weren’t in the least bit disappointed. The Freequencer is all you can expect from the Milligram -thinking of shape- but with a wood core, which implies a more affordable price. We also think that it will open the doors to many splitboarders who see the Milligram as an unattainable object of desire, or to those who simply don’t dig carbon construction boards.

The Amplid Surf Shuttle is all you need if you are looking for a splitboard to ride powder. Thanks to its shape, it is guaranteed to be a splitboard which floats really well on powder, spring corn, and it will feel stable even shredding ugly crusty snow. Obviously, it doesn’t feel as light as the Millisurf, but quite frankly, Amplid has really succeeded in keeping the weight very low for a bomb proof construction.
NOTES FROM THE LAB is Amplid's mini series, shedding light into the daily grind of snowboard RnD. Amplid founder Peter Bauer and his team are on a constant search for the lightest yet durable splitboard. Here comes a prototype of the "Nanogram" - and we believe this is the lightest splitboard ever built: Below 2 kg !!!
Think Less, Ride More - our rider Marc Grossgasteiger and his friends have been working on a new movie project last season and we're stoked to see what they've been up to! Dropping in November, so stay tuned!

We tested its directional sister, the Singular, one of Amplid's beautiful new products of the season, but this true twin model with a half-camber really seduced and convinced us. It's really the all-in-one snowboard, no need for a quiver: this gender-neutral Singular Twin (available in 4 sizes, from 143 to 158) is a real Swiss Army knife that does everything and very well.
What do you get if you add steroids to turbocharged technology? All of Amplid’s flagship technology is hard-wired into The Souly Grail to deliver a riding experience like no other. The charismatic Milligram split, which has been renewed year after year, will be in the shop until 2023-2024 according to the German brand's "carry over" policy. It is the lightest (with its wood and honeycomb core with carbon reinforcements) and most technical premium split in the Amplid range of 6. This directional board with classic camber is available in four sizes, 153, 158 (25.5 at the skid), 163 and 166.
As if injected with a highly potent “Do-Everything” serum, the Kill Switch brings more serious all-mountain capability to the family. Deadly slashes, big faces, vicious carves and bone crushing stomps, the Kill Switch is an unbridled beast. True to its family roots the fun-factor is sky high. Interested in other riders impressions of our boards? For example the Kill Switch? Here comes Malcolm Moore - we let the video do the talking...
Amplid has always walked a fine line between tech-boffin wizardry and raw passion. In the former category, the brand’s crowning glory is its brace of ultra-light splitboards – the Milligram and Millisurf. While their performance is undeniable, not everyone wants or needs something quite so fine-tuned, especially when it means shelling out more cash. Hearing this loud and clear, Amplid took the Millisurf’s shape and gave it a slight tech downgrade, making it more robust in the process. The result is the Amplid Surf Shuttle.
This is the big change at Amplid for the 2022/2023 season, all the boards of the Playful All Mountain range (Paradigma, Creamer, Lovelife, Stereo, Ticket, Ticket Twin, GoGo) are disappearing to make room for the Singular project: 2 unisex boards, this Singular and its cousin Singular Twin, which only depend on the rider's size and level. Designed as a single board (aka "quiver killer") intended to succeed (how dare "replace"?) the Paradigma, this Singular is offered from 144 to 166, with honeycomb in the tip, the "Visco damp" which dampens vibrations, ultra technical fibres (glass and basalt), and a thicker "cut" construction in the tip. With a homogeneous flex, hardly stiff but which lets the tips express themselves, this board has a virile ollie and an impeccable switch mode (don't be misled visually by its tail, it's a directional twin centered).
Who Is The Amplid Kill Switch For? If you’re browsing in Amplid’s Future Shapes line, our guess is that you want something atypical and exciting. The Amplid Kill Switch certainly fits the bill, but is a little less radical than some of its shorter, stubbier brethren. It’s also one of the more versatile models in the range, even if it is primarily designed for powder.

Personal Thoughts: There’s something about hoping on an Amplid that just sticks out. They have this lively yet damp ride that makes them predictable but stable. Like a well oiled machine that you’ve worked with a thousand times. This is their deep day gun and getting it into above knee deep snow was ideal for testing it. If you have an Amplid and need a deep days deck then yes this is something to look at, if you don’t, well you can watch the review and imagine yourself on a deep day with it.
