This Amplid Singular (it's the directional version, otherwise see the Singular Twin) appears to us as an all-mountain with a freeride and carving orientation, but it works well for sidehills, straight jumps and rotations up to 36 for example. On the slopes, it's a bomb underfoot, it won't let go of the edge, it's geared more towards medium and long turns, its flex distribution requires weight or good thighs to bend it in short turns, it's not a crowbar but you don't get much torsional deformation, in any case you have to go after it a little, you get used to it fairly quickly and you clearly benefit from important qualities for edge holding, terrain dampening and high-speed stability. This Singular also has a good ability to pivot to vary the angle of curves, which is quite interesting given its low torsional deformation.
When you get off the slopes, you've got a powerful, precise riding machine that feels fast, a hard snow trafolle swallower. In powder, it's easy to ride, pivots well when you play with the tail, loses its slightly serious side, feels nimble, gets out of the way easily, you're well balanced and can concentrate while looking far ahead. The ollie is very good, which is pretty amazing for a board of this type, so we really appreciate it!
