For riders with a nose for pow days of the finest vintage, the Snommelier’s acute geometries and construction techniques combine for a unique kind of big mountain experience. Seat-of-the-pants speed is balanced by a velvet smoothness that locks your edges in for control and stability at the limits.
This season, it’s been levelled up with extra honeycomb to reduce weight even further. With its deep swallowtail and extensive nose, the Snommellier is Peter Bauer’s go-to on the biggest days. And, in keeping with the FUTURE SHAPES family, provides a riding sensation unlike anything else.
The Snommelier may occupy a fairly narrow niche, but it’s one of our favorite boards to be on when arcing huge turns in soft snow. Its wide, blunted nose, sole length option of 166 cm, and vintage...
So the Amplid Snommelier is an amazing floater. I was in thigh-high power in some places, and it felt like it wasn’t even trying. Despite being more of a big mtn bomber, this floats super well in...
The Snommelier easily cuts through dry blower pow and wet spring pow, feeling exceptionally fast and encouraging giant, arcing turns in situations where smaller boards can feel sluggish or twitchy...
Welcome to Top 5's where your host decides what their top 5 picks are. You might agree with them, you might disagree with them, but the fact of the matter is you're watching them. In this episode...
A half-fat camber for all-mountain dominance. Its toned-down dimensions deliver a precise and lively feel much like Pop Camber, but with much improved deep snow performance and a more “broken-in” feel out of the shrink-wrap. In Amplid’s directional snowboards a touch of early rise is added to Cruise Camber to improve buoyancy even further.

This superlight wood core is the industry standard for lightweight, durable and versatile performance. We’ve tweaked this core so many times over the years there’s nothing left to improve.
A narrow band of uni-directional carbon stringers that run through the centreline of a ski or snowboard from tip-to-tail increasing pop and extending flex memory without altering torsional stiffness.
Max effective edge and square centimeters for floatation in the minimum board or ski length. Unsinkable, but nimble pow shreds, sawn-off jib decks with huge pop and insane edge-hold or the ultimate all-mountain ski shape recipe.
Ultra wide, low rising tips that exist purely to create lift in powder without sucking-up speed. They add a surfy feel to skis and snowboards.
Amplid’s ultra-high density sintered base goes like shit-off-a-shovel in all snow conditions. It is extremely hard and therefore more resistant to damage.
Tough, pre-cured composite impact plates placed beneath bindings and touring hardware significantly reduce the risk of topsheet dings and breakages.
Spin to win with effortless style. Amplid’s HEXO2 core replaces specific areas of weightier wood at the tips with featherlight honeycomb, practically eliminating swing weight,
