A stone's throw from Perisher Mountain Resort, the area, which has many peaks above 2000m altitude, looks like it has plenty to offer!

A pioneer of Big Wave snowboarding since the early days, Amplid's founder, Peter Bauer, recently scooped the hugely important "XXXL Big Wave Surfer of the Year Award" and the cover of Big Wave Mag for a 120ft high wave he poached in Nazare, Portugal, last year.

Late spring is the perfect time to explore the incredible mountains of the Lyngen Alps. Towering above the Fjords which separate them, these Norwegian gems hold great snow until early summer, and the long days of the Arctic Circle’s summer make them the perfect place to splitboard. This winter, Milligram mega-fan Andreas Baumann and his girlfriend traveled east to Japan for the splitboard trip of a lifetime. After a month of cabin fever inducing weather in Alaska, Ambush rider Ben Reynolds was finally able to access some of his favourite zones in the the Chugach range, close to his home. Three days of glorious weather, stable snow conditions and over 5,000m of vertical allowed for Ben to poach some dream lines with his Milligram.

This weekend the Amplid Research Cartel made its way to the hidden resort of Hochkeil in Austria's Salzburgerland region to race the banks of the Livingroom Banked Slalom, a grassroots event organised by Peter Radacher and a crew of local snowboarders.

After a very confident run with an unfortunate fall in the first stop of the Freeride World Tour, Cartel rider Christoffer Granbom was brimming with confidence for the second leg. Re-staged in Vallnord, because of dangerous snow conditions earlier in the season, Christoffer took home the top spot on the 2nd stop.
